SungoldAGM
Ripens earliest of any AGM tomato: a plant that has largely finished cropping before a wet spell arrives has far less exposed, unripe fruit to lose. No specific blight-resistance claim is made for it, but earliness works as a form of blight avoidance in its own right.
If: Under cover (greenhouse or polytunnel) → A proper beefsteak or slicing tomato
MarmandeAGM
An AGM beefsteak explicitly listed as suitable for greenhouse or outdoors, rare among beefsteak types, most of which aren't flagged as outdoor-suitable at all.
If: Under cover (greenhouse or polytunnel) → General cordon, good all-rounder or Under cover (greenhouse or polytunnel) → Not sure
ShirleyAGM
One of the few AGM tomatoes that ticks both boxes: general garden merit and documented blight tolerance, though it can be susceptible to tomato leaf mould and tomato viruses.
If: Outdoors, fully exposed with no cover → Bush, no side-shooting or Outdoors, fully exposed with no cover → Not sure, bush is the lower-maintenance default
Legend
"Good blight resistance" and described as "great for growing outdoors." No AGM: general garden merit and blight resistance are different questions, and Legend answers the second one better than several AGM varieties do. No side-shooting required.
If: Outdoors, fully exposed with no cover → Cordon, staked and taller
Crimson Crush
Also carries "good blight resistance," suitable for greenhouse or outdoors, with heavy yields of medium red salad tomatoes: the cordon-habit answer to Legend's bush habit.
If: Small space or container
Losetto
Bushy/trailing habit suited to containers and baskets. Its blight tolerance is real but a step down from the 'good resistance' language used for Legend, Shirley and Crimson Crush. Container growing doesn't reduce whitefly, red spider mite or aphid risk either, those depend on growing conditions, not the pot.
